OUR VISION
A Community where people and their households interact sustainably with nature and working collectively to preserve species and improve nature conservation, their livelihood through sustainable environmental development actions.
OUR MISSION
Our Missions is to collectively regenerate and restore our landscape, species recovery, protection and conservation, promote research on threatened biodiversity, sustainable livelihood, and lifestyles that protect the environment, enhance conservation education, awareness as well as advocate for investment that protect the environment.

Landscapes restoration and regeneration
We continue to engage and encourage stakeholders, local communities and individuals to conserve and protect community forest, establish individual, group, family and community woodlot, through regeration and restoration by planting indigenous trees.

Research
We contribute to updating scientific knowledge on biodiversity and conservation of species. We focus on threatened biodiversity areas, specie's, conservation, livelihood, and communities. Through collaboration with individual researchers, groups, Non-governmental and governmental organization.
Resource Conservation and Management
(Watershed protection and management)

The use of local knowledge in protection and conservation of natural resources in the face of climate change and other environmental challenges can never be overemphasized.


Sustainable Livelihood
We encourage sustainable livelihood and lifestyles that protect the environment and promote sustainable alternative livelihood options for local communities, this
involves training local farmers on sustainable and modern farming systems, advocate for alternative farming areas outside Forest zone, reduce the slash and burn system, fuel wood extraction, advocate for clean energy sources and improved grazing method. Together with local cmmunities and tourism group we are working to improve on the ecotourism aspect of Obudu Plateau there by improving on the daily livelihood of the people.

Conservation/wildlife Education
Community engagement through conservation/wildlife Education and awareness will forever remain a key strategy for conserving nature and sustainable utilisation of natural resources. We engage local communities, Schools, CBOs, and civil society groups in advocating for biodiversity conservation and sustainable use of natural resources in their disposal.
On these, KEFI works with different categories of people. For example KEFI works with both male and female children and adults, farmers, hunters, grazers, students, logger, through outdoor classes, seminar, workshop.
